They're very quick to replace defective units, and this is an issue they're very keep to take care of for sure. Mass manufacturing in China is never perfect, and there's always the possibility of defective units. I hate that's the case, but it is. The saving grace here is that the chip is doing as it is supposed to, and the 10 second cut-off is kicking in. Sorry you got a defective unit, and I ask you to please contact service.
